Let’s Talk About Relationships

Relationships are an essential part of being human, but they can be complex and challenging work.

While relationships are not limited to our bloodline or those of the same sex, the relationships we have with those closest to us have a powerful impact on our lives and can play a crucial role in our well-being.

In this section, you’ll learn how it affects us in living our best lives and other ways to keep our relationships healthy and strong.

There are many types:

  • Family. These set a template for how we interact with others later in life, so it’s essential to have healthy ones.
  • Romantic. Studies have shown that having a good romantic partner can improve your health, happiness and well-being by lowering stress levels and boosting self-esteem.
  • Relationship with pets or other animals. Pets give us unconditional love that helps us feel connected to something bigger than ourselves—like when you look at your pet and think, “he loves me no matter what”—and provide companionship during lonely times (which will happen).
  • Friendships. According to the research, the quality of a relationship matters more than how many friends you have. When researchers studied what factors were most important for those less social, they found that the quality of their relationship significantly impacted their mental health and well-being.

What is this section of our website for?

We naturally rely on each other for support, guidance and companionship.

Relationships are what make us human. When we share them with others, we connect ourselves to a world that is often alienating and cold. Yet it is also what tears us apart. The heartache and torment of lost love can keep a person from their happiness for years to come, if not forever.

We will now discuss how to maintain the best possible relationship with your significant other, friends, family and pets!
